I was on Pomona in early May to:

The weather was calm and beautiful on the way in, but turned windy for the paddle out via Rona.

Thanks to Lynley for collecting the moth from NB14 on a trap check, a big help as it allowed me to complete my work on Pomona in 1 big day instead of 2.

Active Moth Locations

I was quite late getting to Pomona, difficult summer. They were due for a check in March. I am due to go again mid June.

In February I put out 9 moths recording 24/7, 1 minute in 30, in South Westland. Thanks to the generous support of Stanley and Paula.

There were 6252 detections, 4325 or 69% were false positives. This is due to a dramatic increase in kaka activity on Pomona over the summer. Really good news but extra work until I can train a better recogniser.
