Skraak Forest Project

The goal is to build up a dataset that can be used to model all bird calls and potentially forest health.

Recording 1 minute in every 30, all day and night, every day.

Use Skraak to Train and Run Your Own Model

Use skraak code written in julia, to train your own models.

Search for bird calls in raw audio.

Contact me if you would like a copy of the Skraak Haast Tokoeka model. It is trained on 7.7 million 5 second clips from night time and day time. It may be useful as a base from which to fine tune your model as it knows a lot about environemntal noise and calls that are not kiwi.

(Note: An Nvidia (CUDA) GPU is required to do anything useful. This code will work ok on CPU, but inference is slow without a GPU. You may be able to adapt this code to run on an AMD or Mac GPU.)
